Egypt: Christian Exodus

After the Egyptian Revolution, this is what the Copts in Egypt get: harassment, violence, rape and death threats. That’s what Obama in his narrow, naïve Middle East vision would label as post-Mubarak “progress”:

“Not every country will follow our particular form of representative democracy, and there will be times when our short-term interests don’t align perfectly with our long-term vision for the region.”

Well, was this more true for Mubarak’s regime or is it more true for Egypt’s anti-American, anti-Christian and anti-Israel Islamist/nationalist regime after the Egyptian September parliament elections?

The Egyptian Christians know the answer.

Quotes and Sayings

About the Region, Islam and cultural totalitarianism...

You know, I have repeatedly defended President Bush against the left on Iraq, even though I think he should have waited until the U.N. inspections were over. I don’t believe he went in there for oil. We didn’t go in there for imperialist or financial reasons. We went in there because he bought the Wolfowitz-Cheney analysis that the Iraqis would be better off, we could shake up the authoritarian Arab regimes in the Middle East, and our leverage to make peace between the Palestinians and Israelis would be increased.
