PA Minister Gives Award to Family of Senior Hamas Terrorist

Palestinian Minister of Prisoner Affairs Gives Award to Family of Terrorist Who Planned the Suicide Bombing Attack at the Park Hotel.

Issa Qaraqe, Palestinian minister of prisoner affairs, visited the families of the prisoners who are currently on a hunger strike. One of the families was that of Abbas al-Sayid, a senior Hamas operative who planned the Passover suicide bombing attack at the Park Hotel and dispatched the suicide bomber. Abbas Al-Sayid is serving 30 life sentences for planning this attack. During his visit he presented the family with an award (Al-Hayat Al-Jadeeda, March 29, 2011).

The suicide bombing attack on the Park Hotel was carried out on the night of the Passover Seder, March 27, 2002. Twenty-nine Israeli civilians were killed and 140 wounded, when a suicide bomber entered a hotel in Netanya and detonated his bomb during the Passover Seder dinner, the last straw which led to Operation Defensive Shield, whose objective was to stop the Palestinian terrorist campaign against Israel.

“Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs, Issa Karake, and a delegation from the Ministry of Prisoners’ Affairs visited the home of [the family of] prisoner Abbas Al-Sayid in Tulkarem. Al-Sayid has maintained an unlimited hunger strike for the past 21 days, and has been transferred from solitary confinement at the Ramon prison to solitary confinement at the Israeli hospital in Ramle. Karake warned of the severity of prisoner Al-Sayid’s condition, following a deterioration of his health in the wake of the strike. He placed the responsibility for [Sayid’s] life and health upon the Israeli government and the prison administration, and called for a response to the demands for an end to his solitary confinement, which has continued for over six months, in difficult conditions.”

About the Region, Islam and cultural totalitarianism...

The Arab states do not want to solve the refugee problem. They want to keep it as open sore, as an affront to the United Nations and as a weapon against Israel. Arab leaders don’t give a damn whether the refugees live or die.
